Privacy Policy

Information we collect
All data you create in Avenly — trips, activities, lodgings, transport, notes, documents, and attachments — is stored exclusively on your device and, if you choose to enable it, in your personal iCloud account.
iCloud sync and collaboration
If you use iCloud sync or the "Plan together" collaboration feature, your trip data is stored in your private iCloud container (iCloud.app.avenly.Avenly) managed by Apple. This data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Only you and people you explicitly invite can access your trips.
- Avenly, its developers, and any third parties cannot access your iCloud data.
- Collaboration invites are handled entirely through Apple's CloudKit sharing infrastructure.
Data storage and security
Trip files are stored locally in your device's Documents directory as .tripplan files. If iCloud Drive is enabled, Apple encrypts this data in transit and at rest according to their security standards.
We do not operate any servers that store, process, or transmit your data.
Analytics and tracking
Avenly contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no tracking pixels, and no crash-reporting tools that send data to us. We do not track your usage of the app in any form.
Push notifications
If you enable push notifications for collaboration, Apple's Push Notification service (APNs) is used to deliver sync alerts. No notification content is sent to us — notifications are routed entirely through Apple's infrastructure.
Children's privacy
Avenly does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, the app is suitable for all ages.
Your rights and data deletion
Because all data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you are in full control:
- Delete a trip: Open the trip and tap the trash icon.
- Delete all local data: Delete the Avenly app from your device.
- Delete iCloud data: Go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Avenly.
- Revoke collaborator access: Open the "Plan together" sheet and remove participants at any time.
We hold no data about you and therefore have nothing to delete or export on our end.
Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Avenly after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
